Located in the innovation-driven core of China’s Yangtze River Delta, Mingqian Biosciences Institute specializes in the research, production, sales, and technical services of laboratory mouse models. As one of the few high-standard barrier animal facilities in China holding both SPF-level and Germ-Free dual certifications, we are committed to delivering excellence in laboratory animal science.

Guided by global vision and scientific rigor, Mingqian has built a robust platform system composed of four core platforms:

• M‑GFree Germ-Free Mouse Platform

Leveraging one of the leading germ-free mouse production bases in East China, M‑GFree employs a proprietary fourth-generation embryo transfer-based germ-free purification technology, integrated with CBC-imported isolators and high-standard cleanroom systems. This platform enables a full-chain system of breeding, testing, experimentation, and transportation. It is widely used in microbiota and microbiome-associated disease research and is at the forefront of domestic technological expertise.

• M‑Model Gene-Edited Model Platform

Powered by CRISPR/Cas9 and in vivo targeting technologies, M‑Model supports time- and tissue-specific, multi-target model construction. It enables rapid delivery, batch scalability, and standardized outputs, accelerating basic research and new drug discovery globally.

• M‑BreedCore Breeding & Preservation Platform

Based on in-house developed IVF systems and assisted reproduction technologies, this platform provides efficient cryopreservation, purification, and rapid breeding services to ensure genetic integrity and continuity of mouse strains.

• M‑CRO Integrated CRO Service Platform

By integrating genetic models with experimental capabilities, M‑CRO delivers preclinical services including mechanism studies, pharmacodynamics evaluation, microbiota and cellular research, supporting pharmaceutical companies in shortening R&D cycles and reducing costs.

Mingqian upholds a client-first, quality-first philosophy. We have pioneered a dual qPCR-based high-sensitivity microbial detection system, establishing a dynamic quality control loop covering weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles. Our microbial monitoring standards exceed both national and international benchmarks.

Mingqian is led by a founder with over 30 years of international professional experience and a core team averaging more than a decade in the field. Dr. Qinzhang Zhu, our chief scientist, has conducted cutting-edge biomedical research across the U.S. and Europe for over 30 years and was the first in the world to develop a PCSK9 humanized mouse model. He has received prestigious honors including Gusu Talent, Leading Goose Plan, and National High-Level Talent Recognition, earning broad acclaim from both government and industry.
